Holocaust follows the tragedy and triumph of the Weiss family of Berlin and intertwines their fate as European Jews with the story of a German family, the Dorfs, whose members include a high-ranking Nazi officer. Filmed on location in Germany and Austria, Holocaust uses the stories of these fictional families to portray the atrocities against the Jewish people from the 1930s to 1945, and presents a heart-wrenching portrait of their struggle.

This is the anniversary edition released in the U.S. and Canada in 2008.

Long before Schindler's List & Life is Beautiful. "Holocaust" is one of the most powerfull TV mini-series ever made. it stars such big names as Michael Moriarity, Fritz Weaver, Rosemary Harris, James Woods, & Meryl Streep. Nows that's what i call Classic Television long before such ilk as Idol & Dancing with the has-beens rotting our brains. I miss the big Mini-series of the old days.

It just goes to show that the Nazis themselves were the first Holocaust deniers. They denied that what they were doing was actually happening. Like the man says, I won't be silent.

The biggest looser in 1945 had to be Julius striker, he was a pedophile Jew baiter who tried to escape Berlin dressed as a rabbi, LOL what an idiot . No wonder he stood out. Agent of his own demise if ever there was one.getrange till his head came off. Nice

I would give anything to know what was the last thing that went through Dorf's mind right before eating cynide. Death was too good for these people. I may be sadistic, but I think they all should of been caught put on trial and given life sentences, thinking that they were going to live, take them in a van to prison camp that looked much like their own, and put in a line, they ask were are we going, you are going to delousing. Them having to realize they were walking to death. UNREAL

@lopido If they were so proud of what they did and believed in what they did they wouldn't have lied when it was all over. They would have stood up and said they were proud. But, many of the head Nazi's ran away to Brazil, Hitler commited suicide and when it was all over they even LIED about being Nazis. They were nothing, but, cowards.

I think it can be justified to be a Nazi judge even for a moment when Dorff appears in front of my court.

Dorf was so fucked up that I would be precarious of any of his future offspring, there is so much evil between Marta and Eric Dorf it's very likely that there may still be some present in their great grand children. God help them, as I would not want my last name to me Dorf. Certainly not going to be liked by the Jewish community.
