  • We can say that Toninho Horta was a good teacher to Pat.

  • This really impressed me. It's really interesting to hear Mehldau build his solo. His approach using octaves for the entire solo and building it slowly, tentatively was intriguing, I get the feeling it may not have been one of his best solos on that tune, sure wish I could here takes of every concert! Towards the end of his solo I felt this was some of the finest jazz I have ever heard.
