The Requiem Mass in D minor (K. 626) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was composed in 1791. The requiem was Mozart's last composition, and is one of his most popular and most respected works. There has been a debate over how much of the music Mozart managed to complete before his death, and how much was later composed by Franz Xaver Süssmayr, or possibly others.

  • I'm going to sing this song (well, the entire requiem) with my choir =)

  • @BINGFRYSRDUN Mozart made this song, thus he will have to answer to himself? You're assuming Mozart made it to Heaven? He was a musical genius, without a doubt, but he wenched and drank himself to an early grave. Who knows... if he were alive today, he might have written Metal instead of classical! LOL

  • @Archeon233 Yeah man! :)

  • @Archeon233 I have no idea what your point is. Here are some other types of music played with hands and fingers: fusion, salsa, son, jazz, afro-cuban jazz, blues, renaissance, baroque, classical, modern, contemporary, serial, dodecaphonic, etc, etc. As for electronic beat maker, I don't know what you're talking about. My favorite beat makers are called Art Blakey and Elvin Jones. They're not electronic. Seems many people commenting here have a reading comprehension problem. Whatever

  • @pchantreau

Except that rock is played using one's hands and fingers, not some electronic beat maker, plus it just sounds good. Which automatically makes Rock the winner by default XD

  • I'll be sure to load this into my home copy of Dance Dance Revelation

  • @sucrilhus I disagree. This is a degrading of Mozart's work. Music is one form of art in which there are objective criteria. I respect that some can like this heavy metal version. I'm not sure why they do though. I used to listen to rock too, then I started paying attention. I still listen to it once in a while but tire of it after a couple of songs. Blues is far more interesting. Fusion showcases virtusosity. Funk is more fun. I find rock very limited. Pygmy polyphonies are far more advanced.

  • If Mozart were alive today.... he would be a metalhead

  • I think Therion should be doing a Castlevania Soundtrack
