@yashil17 it is Atrpatakan, Aturpayegan, Atropatena, Azarbayegan, Azarbaijan = means protected by fire but the region got the name from the satrap who held the region against Alexander and named it after himself it is also know as less media. In arabic it is called Adhrbeijan but all of this refers to a region in Iran and not what the current republic of Azerbaijan is...

ya brar, Azerbaijan => Azar-abadegan=> original Attur=padegan = "Land of Attur/Azar/Atash/Fire, or "Firelands", it was a part of Eran but Turks conquered it anchagned the language to Turkish

@Aghuan Azerbaijan even though it is has been arabised does not change the Persian origin of the word. There is no denying the Arabisation of words, unlike you Iranians do not deny influence or words from other places. However again any book, any material you read, Turks are Mongoloids and from Mongolia and not Caucasians or European in feature. Iranians are classified as Europeans and their Language European.
