If you werent at Read Local's Free Launch Event, this Saturday, November 14th from 11am to 6 pm on Level 3/ Sun Deck of the Horton Plaza - where were you?!?

Heres what you missed schmoozing with local authors, editors & publicists, author presentations, book giveaways, the incredibly talented Rob Carona (opened for Kenny Chesney), yummy burgers and a whole lot of fun!

Read Local is a non-profit marketing coalition whose main goal is to connect authors and readers.

We are establishing ourselves as the liaison for the San Diego literary community. In the past bookstores did this, but not anymore. And today, authors are expected to do a lot of their own marketing, so this is a great opportunity for them to connect with their readers and vice versa, said publicist, Beth Walsh.

If you missed this event no need to fret for Read Local intends to provide you with many more opportunities to meet local authors and catch up on the BIG things that are happening literarily - right here in your own back yard.

There are 70 local authors participating today, said Read Locals Founder, Karla Olson. Were all about connection with Read Local you get to connect with the people who understand your passion.
