These commercials aired in June of 1988 and the fall of 1986. Apologies for the poor quality in the first part. Thanks to my cousin David for recording these.

1. Filmation "Ghostbusters" Commercial Bumper
2. M&M's (I guess this commercial was made to appeal exclusively to girls?)
3. The Highland Fling (Downtown Stockton, Ai!)
4. Promo for "The Sunshine Boys"
5. Captain Mitch and Delta Dog at IHOP (I have no idea what this show was. I love the suspense of "Miss...Strawberry Pancake!")
6. Filmation "Ghostbusters" Commercial Bumpers
7. Apple Jacks (I have never tried these. And I think it's going to stay that way)
8. Hi-C (I have this in another volume, but here it is again. It's awesome!)
9. Promo for "Super Friends"
10. Captain Mitch and Delta Dog (An old sea captain showing episodes of "Gilligan's Island" and "I Dream of Jeannie"? Awesome!)
11. Filmation "Ghostbusters" Commercial Bumper
12. Vogue Interior Design Center
13. Mission Boulevard Lincoln Mercury
14. Promo for "Love Connection"
15. Promo for "Jeopardy!"
16. Gloria Vanderbilt Spice Jar Collection from The Franklin Mint (Such a cheesy infomercial!)
17. "Martial Arts Theater" Commercial Bumper
18. MRC Tamiya R/C Model Kits (Think of how sad that guy must feel, being shot down all the time by his son for buying the wrong brand model kit!)
19. Fremont Ford

  • The description says Stockton, Alabama, but it's really Stockton, California. That's Weber's Point at the Water Front in Down Town Stockton, California.

    (Hometown.)

    Just pointing it out. ;)

  • I was actually quoting the Scottish guy in the commercial. The all caps threw you off though.

    "Downtown Stockton, Ai!!!"

  • BTW, do you have any KRON stuff, especially those with the PDI Golden Gate Bridge Legal ID and/or DayBreak Sun logo which was used from 1984-1989?

  • I'm going to be posting two commercial volumes from KRON and a KRON newscast from 1988 soon. None of what you described is in there though...

  • I used to watch Filmations Ghostbusters and think to myself "what does this have to do with the Ghostbusters", come to find out there was a live action TV show in the 70s I think with Larry Storch from F-Troop

  • It's a terrible, terrible cartoon. Way scarier than "The Real Ghostbusters" ever was purely based on its own wretchedness. The TV rights to use the word "Ghostbusters" apparently still belonged to the people who made the live action show, and Filmation bought those up during production of the movie, forever subjecting children to this awful, awful cartoon.

  • Did anyone else get an uncontrollable urge to slap the R/C car kid???

That spice jar commercial was so sappy you could pour it on strawberry pancakes...

  • What was with the 1950's obsession in the 80's? Good Lord.

  • WOW. Those spice jars are... amazing, and the commercial was horribly cheesy. Great find!

  • "Apologies for the poor quality in the first part" No apology needed. The worn tape look just adds to the fun.

  • In between the spice jar girl and the RC racer boy was the "Martial Arts Theater" slide. I feel like it's more of a suggestion what we should do to those two kids than a reminder of what we're watching.

  • I always want'ed that Apple Jacks cereal bowl as a kid ,heck I still want one.

  • After watching that "cheesy" spice jar commercial I punched myself.

  • Talk about cheesy... that spice jar commercial was nothing but a Kraft single smothered in Cheez Whiz.

  • Gotta love the 80s

  • OK, the furniture commercial was nuts! Did you see that coffee table?? And the bed??? That bedroom set looked like a life-sized plastic Barbie set!! I have never in my life seen a weirder style of furniture than in that commercial. And the lady's veeeeery high-waisted suspender getup was also bizzarre!

  • The same thing as with the 1980s obsession now :-D

  • YEA SUPERFRIENDS!!!!!!!

Thank God for Cartoon Network that still shows them.
