Indian dance group MAYURI- Habibi
Sufism as a mystic-religious trend appeared on the Arabian East, but in India, the country of music and dance, it took its' own specific form- perception of god through the KAWWALI singing. Kawwali is an art, having its roots in 12 th century, when the great sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti came to India with his sermons and found out that his new congregation perceived a sermon in a form of singing very well.
The Habibi dance made on kawwali music, is based on belly movements , but being taken to other basis and having other underlying reasons, this dance doesn't demonstrate the movements of hips as an end in itself, but expresses energetic, mystic and emotional sources laying in the music.

If Iranians wasnt convert by force they would be more developed n brillants !Take a look of SHAHNAMEH , most of great learnt persians of islam time if they had liberty to choose religion they never would be muslims! islam brought civilization and respect to human right .. the origin of all sciences ( geography , medicine, inventing locks and even planes) is from muslim scientists like "Al Jazary" who invented the clock , the engine and so many things...like 'Abbas ibn firnas" the first one tried to fly and invented a plane and he was Spanish muslim.. like "Al Zahrawy" a muslim physician invented the surgical utensils... and' ibn al haitham" who created the idea of the camera

@Nulyan You are so correct...thoughts of fall of Ancient Persia to desert cult makes me despair....and destruction Islam brought to India was catastrophic even though India and Hindus survived but damage is beyond repair..Destruction of Nalanda university and slaughter of thousands of unarmed students and teachers..destruction of 1000s of temples...massacre of tens of millions of people because they did not converted to Islam..destruction of whole north India..it all makes me weep..
