jayne mansfield was somewhat high class. she did everything little rich girls did (piano, violin, ballet...) which is fine. and she decided to have fun in life. which is fine.

her life was not tragic, just the fact that she died young.

try to find "this is your life" and you will see she's very classy, very smart, very discrete, and still playing up the innocent girlish blondie type. (I didn't say dumb)

I've always wondered about her violin playing, and now finally I hear it - it's certainly not concert-level, but it's competent, I guess I'd say. It's too bad she didn't play this up as part of her persona more, since it certainly would've set her even more apart from any of the other Marilyn-inspired buxom blondes of the time.
