My old EJ8 1998 Civic EX 4-door manual with a Jackson Racing Supercharger running at 6.5 psi.
Stock motor, Stillen header, Greddy PE exhaust. Slow but fun car. It is missed very much.

  • is that ur check engine light on if it is you know your v tech dosent engage if it is on idk what motor you have you might not have v tech

  • @awellman4056 - It's a check engine light, it's called VTEC, and the D16Y8 is a SOCH VTEC motor. VTEC does engage, as you can see the engagement light I wired light up around 5.4k RPM.

  • how much was your supercharger

  • @openshot $2000, plus about $30 in misc parts/hoses I needed for the install.

  • I can't say I notice much of a difference to justify spending $2,000 on that execpt the interesting whine it creates. Neat.

  • Lower maintenance, cheaper, good for auto-x.

  • @n8kmt what u mean auto-x

  • @xVxRayJohnathaNxVx could be a number of things, mine light stays on just due to the simple fact i took my catalytic converter for a full exaust system.

  • I guess vtec cant be heard any longer because of the supercharger...
