about the sahara ... yes is it is true that it was wetter but what you're missing is that the bantu expansion from cameroon only started around 3000 years BC... San people occupied much of the land that is now occupied by bantu east and south africa.
North african man and hunter gatherer round headed man (related to san people) left their mark in sahara and sahel as early as 10.000 years ago.

How do I know that ? his portrait statues are in every respectable history museum in the world! these statues were made when he was alive, these statues do not show a black person so stop confusing the word "African" with the word black because in his time only north africa was known as "Africa" and nothing was known about south of the Sahara until modern colonial times.
