Their lyrics and antics are silly and full of innuendo, but they are so god damn talented and downright FUNKY! One of the best bands out there.

@TheNewsoul2 I don't think you need to bring race into this because that really has nothing to do with how well someone can play funk or jazz. The bottom line is, they are playing music and having fun, just let them be. They have awesome soloists and put on a great show. Watch some other videos the Bari player is also a good soloist and is WHITE! :O The tenor player is obviously fantastic, and you can't say he isn't. Maybe you've heard better, but he is still pretty damn good.

@TheNewsoul2 I'm sure that you know there are different types of funk, and not everyone is going to fit the stereotype. They are obviously not JUST a funk band, they have a lot of influences from other genres. To say they are not good musicians is just rude, they are all studio recording artists and professional musicians. I am pretty sure they have more creativity than lil wayne, just because they are singing about sex that makes them uncreative? Like 80% of all music is about sex or love...

Good GOD that sax solo had so much stank to it! I just love it, maybe they are not a traditional funk band...I think they are more of a mash-up of 60's-70's soul, jazz combo, contemporary rock, and funk. You can't deny they are good players, they are all studio musicians. Mummy Ra is a crazy good soloist, and the singers are really good too.
They are having fun and people like it, stop hatin on them. Its nice to see something not main stream become successful. Let them be.
