I think BNSF is one Hell of a railroad & will soon be #1 on the rails if it isn't already. They are currently considered the largest railroad in North America for intermodal freight across the rails. At the rate they have been growing since the merger in 96', it's my understanding that soon BNSF will be the largest railroad in the world. Now that is serious progress for as new as this company is. Great video, thanks for sharing.

@badgerbuddy i hate the BNSF in general, it was a waste of two railroads and completely monopolized the west, making the only two class 1s out there the UP and BNSF. this was the reason the SPSF was denied, but it would've left the SSW as a subsidiary of the SPSF(maybe) and the BN out there, therefore creating more of an oligopoly.

i hate the new BNSF logo... it flees too far from its roots... at least the old one made it look like a legitimate railroad company, and somewhat emulated the old santa fe look

When he was pulling across the crossing? Try notch 7, if not full throttle. We get GP38-2's all the time doing this in CSX's Taft Yard, and this is what full throttle sounds like. For some reason, CSX elects to only use one locomotive, even though there are plenty of idling GP40-2's and B40-8's laying around the yard, LOL.

Ahh ok thanks :)

8 notches
so he was halfway there... not to mention like all American vehicles, its also governed...(speed restricted laymans terms)
-
Out of how many notches?

nice !
I liked the new logo. I didn't know that GP38 has an electric bell like those ES44DC have. I also like the runby as the enginner goes to run 8.

The rebuilt GP38-2s in the 2000 series were all equipped with electronic bells when they were rebuilt.
