Court Says Expunge Ross Reprimand

Valley City, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) -- The attorney for Valley City Police Chief, Dean Ross, Joe Larson of Jamestown says, Judge Daniel Narum in Barnes County, District Court has granted a "Writ of Mandamus," petitioned to the court, on June 10, 2011, by Dean Ross. The Writ requested the court mandate that the City of Valley City, expunge City Administrator Jon Cameron's oral reprimand against Ross. Cameron issued a written reprimand to Ross for failing to follow order given Ross by Cameron. At a hearing with Cameron, the written reprimand was reduced to an oral reprimand, and was document in Ross's employee file. Ross has followed the city's grievance process. The Writ's conclusion says, "Ross has a clear right to have the reprimand expunged....therefore the petition is granted." The document is dated September 7, 2011. MORE AT ValleyCityUSA.com
