Finally cleaned my wheat cents found this year.. Cleaned a few Indian Head cents and tokens & foreign coins as well..In the past I have tried olive oil soaks and other methods that would take months to see results (Mineral Oil soak as well)....Not in MY video.....Any more......If it is a valuable &
rare coin....I simple don't clean it................But.............I do attempt to clean other coins...........In ways that take a short time......Like using a rock tumbler to clean over 1,000 non rare wheat cents......
And I show in this video 2 other methods to clean (Semi-Key) date coins,While I wait 6 hours for my last 70 wheat cents to tumble clean ...

  • Cleaning coins of value WILL decrease their values

  • @St33l3rs45 ....If you watched my video..You would have heard me state 'I do not clean rare coins, only common ones' ! ! !

  • Great vid. They are your coins, clean them if you want I say! Why baby a coin that is only worth a buck anyways?

  • @PRESTONDAWS ....I pre-sorted them & not one was worth more than 2-3 cents melt..

  • Only idiots that do not take the time to actually make a video ,but are ready to give a negative remark, like this guy..Would not know the difference between one cent, and a cent worth $700....You ever found a cent worth that much DennisJTracy ?.......I have, and sold it...A 1922 plain cent...& I know the difference in what to do with it,and a bag full of useless 1950's wheats worth 2 cents each...Ya Tumble them

  • ...nice Italian 10c coin at 6:53.

  • @anteracmacash Know what I use? And I have the best shine on mine. try this. Get a little jar with ketchup, put the pennies in it and you can let them sit or take a very soft tooth brush and brush the coin with the ketchup and it'll turn a reddish pinkish color once you have done it, take some baking powder and water make a little paste, and rub the penny with it between your fingers and look at the out come. REALLY works awesome!

  • I was also curious as to where you found all those wheat pennies. Appreciate a reply sir

  • cola did it for me and it looked even better

  • Cleaning coins is the fastest way to make them worth nothing but face value.

  • @JerryPsyche I found 10,000 in one day! what does that say about their value?

  • Great video you made there on cleaning coins Dave! I use the same methods except I also use vegetable oil and olive oil for soaking too. It's been my experience that the baking soda before the peroxide doesn't seem to make a different effect in which the peroxide works but when you use olive or vegetable oil prior you'll need to clean the coin in mineral spirits so then the peroxide will work.

  • Why not throw in a fist full of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide into the tumbler? Combine the best of all the methods?
