Huge Bull Snake!

I was outside cleaning off my back porch and I saw this HUGE snake. It went into a hole so I called pest control. The guy came out and dug this huge bull snake out of my yard!!!! EWWW!!!!!

Why would you have a Bull/Gopher snake removed from your property? They are the best form of pest/rodent control you can get. Instead of teaching your kids to be afraid of snakes, you could have educated them on how good snakes can be. I live in the mojave desert and people try to keep as many gopher snakes as they can on their property because they not only keep the rodent population down they keep poisonous snakes off the property.

@gibby660 They are not my kids. We did actually have the kids pet the snake and we did teach them that they are good. The one kid is 14 so she has her mind set that she is deathly afraid of snakes. We got her to pet it but she still hates them. The military base pest control relocated the snake to another area of the base where they had too many rodents. So it was a win win situation.

Since I live on a Military base they have to remove large snakes. I know they aren't poisonous or really dangerous but I have little kids that come over to my house and they won't go in the back yard if it was still living there. I don't think snakes are ew but when they are that big then yeah, it kinda creeps me out. I wanted to pet it. lol.

i have a bullsnake that is about 6 and a half feet long

not really big. a big one is 5 feet. biggest ones are 7 feet

why would you call pest control, the bullsnake is pest control, it is a rodent eater, rodents carry and spread disease, snakes no so much...
