@1gamoguy mate he has a kevlar vest, he is a great mate to me,, and having him suffer any injury is distressing and of great concern to me and not only was he stitched up but he was put on a course of antibiotics,, starting with an injection of high dose long acting antibiotic...getting a rip like this is more often the exception than the norm,, I've spent thousands on tracking collars so when he takes off i can find him ASAP to back him up,,, thus reducing the risk of such injuries,,
@1gamoguy and by know enough, i didnt mean that in a sarcastic maner, but rather you have the knowledge and skill to stitch him up, most people i hear about, or have seen videos if this happened to one of their dogs, the would just put em down, and buy another one, they dont care about the dogs other than how they perform
this kind of thing sucks, and even though i have conflicting views on boar hunting with dogs, the roots of using dogs for hunting, goes back just as far as hunting itself, iam just glad you know enough to stitch him up, not an easy thing to do, and i hope he makes a full recovery, also have you though about getting your dogs the kevlar vests they make for hog dogs? any injury sucks balls, but at least it was not a rib shot, and he only got grazed on his leg
@JasonRogersbarra and damn that was one hell of a hawg, forgot to mention that in my first comments, ran out of friggen room
