  • First of all, many people throughout history has said it is the end of the world. I doubt the world ends in 2012.

Second, this could likely happen if a similar size asteroid exploded over a city, it could destroy the city. It would NOT be the end of the world, but it would definitely caused many causlities in the area

  • It depends on the size of the asteroid whether it would destroy the whole planet or only a city!

  • for a comet to cause the entire planet to fracture it would have to be as big as, if not bigger than the earth. stop touting your apocalispe bull

  • Not necessarily, if a small comet hits somewhere the debris coming from its impact could cover the light of the sun for many months and cause death to many species , starvation or death by pollution.

  • What really hit Tunguska and responsible for

the explosion is the "Gama Ray Burst"..That's

the only possible answer..Becuase there's no

metorites, or comets evidence in the ground...It's come from a death of the sun.

  • There are a lot of comets evidence on planet earth , It is full of craters!

  • The bible is just a book giving people something to beleive cause it helps them live their lives.

    Peace it.

  • Also they were vary interested in Nikola Tesla. I also believe they were working with him on some not known to us level. Even though I wouldn't put it past Tesla. This was beyond him. He wouldn't have took the risk if he knew the power it would unleash and he would have known the power. He wasn't trying to make weapons. Think about it. He was trying to help humanity. Albert was also a interest to them, but why wouldn't he be really.

  • i hear that the aliens risked there lives to save our planet if the meteor hit the land all of us would die

  • Holy shit everyone just stop with zombies bull shit you video game nerds

  • Tunguska, more like shi no numa...

  • @ps3playermw2 When you're dealing with an object like this, it's like setting off a nuclear bomb the size of Hiroshima except many times bigger and without the radiation. It's one hell of a BOOM.

  • @xBlaCkIcExWolf Again, Earth has taken pretty big hits, For humans, however, it could be really bad, especially when you start getting to the size of the K/T asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. However, life is pretty tough and would likely survive the impact, after all, that's how we're here. There just probably wouldn't be any people going around saying the End is Nigh.

  • @Veetin I know that all true, although it wouldn't destroy the whole world (you'll need an object about the size of Mars or bigger to do that), it just either severely depopulate or wipe out the human race, which I guess is the end of the world in our minds, but no all life. It's pretty resilient.

What I'm saying is that there are other objects the size of the Tunguska and have the potential if they were to over a city like Boston or Miami, it could be utterly devastating.

  • @toaphoenix it would only take a meteror the size of 1mile to destroy the world but i agree everyone needs to stop with this end of the world bs
