  • Hi Matt,

A very clear explaination of using lookup but does not explain why named ranges are useful.

Use named ranges to avoid trying to remember what a2:a11 really is.

    One follow-on question:

Is there any way to filter the drop-down list? I may want thousands of drop-down items but scrolling to item B will be tedious, let alone Z.

  • Have you got an idea how to show on the list additional description? Value of selected item from the list still have to be the same. Ie you can pick up from list Chicken (Remember - chicken is horrible) but the value still will be Chicken. Is this possible?
