Across the US and in Puerto Rico, more than a dozen events were held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the April 4th, 1980 arrests of the Puerto Rican political prisoners in Evanston, IL. In Chicago, the National Boricua Human Rights Network (NBHRN) sponsored the Cell Project, an art installation at Cafe Batey Urbano in Humboldt Park. Each day a different volunteer occupied a 6 x 9 replica of an actual cell for 24 hours over 15 days. The installation lead to the culminating event, Jornada 360. Michelle Morales, NBHRN coordinator and former political prisoner, Ricardo Jiménez are featured in this video produced by Chicago Access Network Television.
