First song I learned on the harmonica. It's on a diatonic C harmonica/"blues harp."

  • It's not about how fast you can play. It's the quality of the piece that you are able to play.

  • Thanks, Confucius. Now you going to go grab the tabs and give it a shot?

  • @CrazieDoode Kudos! Yeah, I need a new harmonica. They have a shelf-life for sure.

  • @dpatrick86 I was looking at a Hohner Golden Melody. Plastic Combs (last longer from what I hear) Probably in the key of C since I am a beginner. Right now I am using a Hohner Blues Harp in the key of C, which, don't get me wrong, is a great harp, but for future references the Golden Melody would be my choice. I have yet to upload any videos but the ones I have so far are just audio recorded from audacity and a title screen. I will be sure to post a response as soon as possible!

  • @CrazieDoode Cool. I had a Lee Oskar, but it seemed like it wore out just as quickly as the $7 Hohner I picked up at cracker barrel. I probably need to take it apart somehow, but I haven't taken off on that adventure yet.

  • @dpatrick86 he has a point. while I enjoyed your normal speed interpretation, your fast versions are very sloopy and detract from the song.

  • @dpatrick86 it sounds.... AMAZINGG!

  • @dpatrick86 thats funny the one i play is from 1915 lol

  • @dpatrick86 It's pretty simple for mine. 4 screws for total disassembly. Yours may have nails? It's a good way to clean it if water doesn't do the trick. As well as tuning the reeds.
