very sad, we love to hate..thats the cause of every problem.. i dont know the figures, i also agree that some people are proud to serve in military, but i also agree to father Peter that this wars in iraq an afganistan are just chess playing for the few on the top and the rest are just dying for stupid reasons. its not only for the USA its the sickness of the entire world. and if we live in a sick world you have to use sick means to prevent other sick people from defeating you.

The war is detrimental to the human race!

I am happy to find a religious human identity with a holistic view about the world! Most religious people are closed minded, I see too many times! Father Peter is right, the war on Iraq is stupid. I am glad president Obama has a fresh perspective about what America is and he is trying to fix the problem a bit. America is an empire like it was the Roman Empire, the British Empire and it is commiting the same mistakes from the past. Learn your history. History repeating itself! Thanks Father

I also find this video very disturbing. I find it disturbing because of the fact that what this man is saying about the war is absolutely true. I also find it heartening that there are some GOOD PEOPLE out here on youtube that have wisdom to share and are trying their best to share it.

It is common for the political left to portray troops as being uneducated dupes for politicians. They have no sense of the military being the protector of the innocent.
This protection allows the American Left to even spout their philosophies in the first place.
Ironically, it is the Left who are "useful dupes" for those who wish to harm America and Americans.

This video here is the reason I believe the internet is a dangerous thing! Please can you state your sources for the number that you gave because to me it looked like they were made up.
I am also tired of hearing from people who are not in the military saying how bad it is. I am a vet and served three year, I only got out so i can train to be an officer. So no not everyone in the military are depressed and lonely, many take pride in serving their counrty and will until the day they retire.

You know what is REAL SAD! Only 106 people have viewed this video ...106!
I find this video very disturbing. First where did you get your stats, are they made up by you or can you verify a source to them.
Second, I am tired of people who have no connection to the military telling the world how military personal think. Yes, many can become drepressed from long deployments and being away from family and that is sad. But many more are proud to wear the uniform like myself.
So please do not try to tell people how to think unless you have walked in their shoes.

You are correct in that I have not been in the military. But as a former psychotherapist, I worked with many, many Vets. Some were truamatized and some were very happy to have served their country. Time magazine had recent stats that some 500,000 soldiers have come home from the last couple wars with some form of PTSD, most of which are not getting any form of counseling. There are a few films out recently made by soldiers who did not say a lot of good things about their deployment in Iraq.
