shofixti (fan animation test shots)

Character and ship test shot for a Star control fan animation. Shofixti ship and pilot still under construction. No lipsyncing done in preview but character has phonemes. Animation rigging needs to be redone, some bones not facing correct direction(skelegons). The cockpit seems a bit bare so I might still add stuff inside there.

I agree. Basically he needs do more specific stuff. But in this case I am just testing out the character. All this video is, is a bunch off random motions set to sound. I tried to put stuff that sort of fit the audio, but it's not a perfect fit.

This isn't really how I would have portrayed the Shofixti, but it's still pretty cool, and interesting to see how someone else would go about creating them.

@JoshuaAWolf Thank you! Heh I kept changing my version of it, and looking at the reference I can see the design changing several times there too. And now, the hair changes the head shape of the model underneath. It looks like I will need to lengthen the teeth or the hair will almost cover it all.

needs to slam his fist on the console. as it is, he just kind of waves his arm around--i'd think he'd keep at least one hand on a stick and he'd constantly be beating shit up in his cockpit

@GuizotTheGreat Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! The fur is Worley's Sasquatch fur. I've only begun to learn how to use it. Eventually I want to use it for long haired characters. I hope to make a Syreen that doesn't look horrible some day. :)
