President Obama gave a speech in Minnesota at a health care rally, days after an address to Congress on health care. The content of the speech was more or less the same as the address to Congress, but this exchange toward the end is a little interesting. Here, Obama reminds the crowd that people against reform will "fight with everything they've got", and tells Washington "pundits" who think he's doing "too much" that "change is not easy." Then, at one point, when Obama refers to FDR, a portion of the crowd boos.

They seemed to be doing much better before the act. What, with 50% being under the poverty line because their entire life savings were lost when the banks went broke?
Social security isn't any different than saving money in a bank. The only difference is that there is no real chance of not being reimbursed because of market declines. That is, unless people try to interfere with Social Security and destroy it...
Greece is an extreme case btw. Their policies were way too generous.

@nafaidni They won't. Once the gov't takes over any private activity, the vast majority of people lose any ability to see how the activity could operate without government's participation. If the gov't ever wipes your rear, be scared. You will lose the ability to ever see how you could have wiped it by yourself in the past.
This is the problem they are having in Greece, EU, et al. Gov't spending must come down, but people are entitlement dependent. Riots are inevitable.

@1kings1918
Yep, now try going to a senior citizen and ask them if they would like to give up their forcible communist Social Security. See how that works.

@alexc3589 Federal Judges in 3 states have ruled that the Affordable Care Act is Constitutional

@newyorkeastside Yeah, I think he does. 46% approve and 48% disapprove. That is incredible, 2% more disagree, surely the largest in the history of the country

@alexc3589 I wonder if this FUCK OBAMA has any idea that the American people are standing against him in GREAT NUMBERS......it seems as if he is oblivious to the opinion of the American People.
The sight of Obama makes my skin crawl.......

socialist asshole FUCK OBAMA...theres a difference between "change" and completely going against the constitution and IGNORING federal law.

The senior citizens did not ask for social security, It was forced on America back then just like socialized medicine was this year.
