It is a celebration of the free & liberating spirit of Meera or Meerabai ( 1498-1555) as she was called by her followers . One of the only recorded woman singer-songwriter-poet-philosopher's in the history of India. She broke all societal norms to pursue her all encompassing devotion for Krishna & became an icon .

The composer of the song is Ram Sampath set to the traditional lyrics , a poem by Meera & this version is an interpretation of the same by the artiste , Sona Mohapatra
