This is an example of health promotion using popular media for young children. This script could be used for many childrens programs like Playschool and Hi-5, and even health promotion in preschools. We chose to focus on young children under the age of 7 years as research shows they are highly influenced by what they learn on TV and at preschool, and in turn can influence what their parents feed them and buy.

We have acted out the script to show what health promotion for this age group could look like. This is likely to be part of a larger health promotion awareness program for this age group. This particular segment focuses on making a healthy (and fun) lunchbox.

All 3 of us work with children: Jess is a swimming teacher, Cynthia runs childrens playgroups and Tina teaches piano. Changing the words of popular childrens songs is a good way to help the kids learn and have fun.
