The piece is called Nord Rute and the story travels into the nether regions of the indigenous Sámi people of northern Norway, and their age old spring migration across the arctic tundra with thousands of reindeer.
Field recording artist Ross Adams travelled with a Siida -- collective of Sámi herders - and sonically documented it using location surround sound recording techniques. The visuals are mixed live by Nick Corrigan.
For the performance audiences were invited to sit or lie on furry reindeer pelts amidst a 4 projector, gauze and 12 speaker set-up.
