How did it come about that Frank was given the guitar at the Miami Pop fest? One would assume that it was still in pieces too. Who would carry such pieces around in order to give them away at a pop fest? Does anyone have any more information please?

@valdivia562 nah, I'm with spicy on this one. ask any guitarist that is truly serious and he'll say Friedman is a wanker. sure it's technically impressive but it doesn't have substance. but hell, everyone's entitled to their own opinion and everyone thinks they're right, so it's no use in arguing
but yes, I'd say Hendrix is the best.

@spicyMcHAGGIS9green BULLSHIT!! anyone can play like hendrix, you just need to plug in your guitar into a bunch of effects and throw it at your amp for the feedback, as for innovation i guess he was the first to play like shit really loud. trust me ask any guitarist that is serious about playing on marty friedman and they would tell you how innovative and creative he is. he has inspired so many people you have no idea

The Strat Hendrix smashed at the Monterey Pop fest was shattered and peices of it were kept by Cass Elliot and Brian Jones (so wherever that went, WHO KNOWS?!? - Bad hendrix pun) Anyway, This Strat was supposedly given to Frank Zappa at the Miami Pop fest. So there you go.
