They really need to fix the problem that you can't order both: This pano-roof AND the power rear sunshade. So far, you have to pick one which isn't great. I'd love to have both!

I hate the front fascia! But everything else is great.

I'm not sure what you mean by Ford being "late" they've had Panoramic roofs for several years now. It's been on the MKS, MKX, and the MKT for Lincoln and the Flex, Edge, and Explorer for Ford. This is a NEWER version that's now fully retractable and being added for the MKZ.

Since GM CEO has criticized Lincoln and saying that its dead and that you can't bring it back to life, Lincoln has improved slowly and their doing it by the second we speak.

Roof auto-forward movement @ >40 mph to reduce noise? As a happenstance, yes. Unusual roof design might make it susceptible to lift off at high speeds when fully retracted. Cabin noise is subjective; so why not let occupants operate roof position to their own liking at any speed? With roof closer to deployed deflector, forward edge of roof (potential wing!) would be in deflector's protective "shadow" and out of flow stream; the onrush of air would not catch under the track-secured roof.

There have been no power train announcements yet. Im expecting a bored and stroked version of the 2.0 Ecoboost that has been tossed around fourms for the Focus ST (2.3L W/ abo 300hp) or just the plain 2.0 Ecoboost. The MKZ will share platforms with the new Fusion and it will only have I4s so id expect the same for Lincoln.

How many people love this kind of conceptional option? It does same function as panorama roof.
