QCAD, HeeksCNC, Enhanced Machine Controller.

Drawing in .DXF is edited a bit in QCAD (entities and contours are arranged on different layers with names 01, 02, 03, and 04) and opened in HeeksCNC, where the G-code program is produced for Enhanced Machine Controller (EMC). The code is then a little bit edited for detail to be easily cut off the big sheet of metal (the feed rate is reduced).

  • @forseral You always can change items a bit in DXF drawing (in QCAD for example) for creation of the code in various programs to be made easily. Always visualise and check the code obtained from CAM software. Sometimes, when you're using tool radius compensation, tool at its entry move may touch the detail a bit - so you may want to add a small arc at the start (manually in the g-code) for the entry move to be far from the contours of the details.

  • very nice. can't read the language but the visuals convinced me to try heekscnc before buying cambam
