Baby Cockatiels' first 30 days

Update: Thanks for everyone's compliments and thumbs up! And for those that gave me a thumbs down, I'm standing behind you with a gun pointed at your head and an angry cockatiel on my shoulder. (Just give me the word Mocha and I'll do it!) :) But I'm glad that I'm getting more hits. Maybe I'll beat my twin sister's record (http://www.youtube.com/user/Xolette/videos?sort=dd&view=u&page=1) and rub it in her face! hehe...

This was shot with Panasonic DMC-GH1 with f1.7 pancake (no zoom) which meant my camera was a few inches away during all of the nesting shots. FYI nesting hens, even tamed ones, usually attack nearby intruders so I was lucky to get most of the footage that I shot. :)

And yes, if you're wondering, my birds were PISSED having a camera and spot light in their faces each day. I also had to constantly handle the baby in front them and place them in the "right" position which would further make them anxious and irritated. As the days went on, Gordita, my "size reference", became so fed up that she would run out as soon as I pointed my camera inside. This then started the almost-endless cycle of me putting her back inside, her running out, doing this until I had my 5-second shot of them in the right positions.

my beloved misty boogles a grey 13 year old passed away 1week today. After watching this video the joy of life returned to me. Where i felt my beloved die in my hands i see these beautiful new babies in the world. Ive rarely felt so happy that my eyes tear up. Amazing footage. <3 keep up the good work! :*D

@thegreensnake13 Thanks! It was a racing pigeon my coworker found. The owner later told me that it was probably attacked by a hawk on one of its training runs.

@EmmaHambleton Hehe, birds do not have boobs. Btw, the huge lump around their neck is called a crop which is a muscle that stores and processes food before it goes into their stomach. :)

I've read that the male is suppose to help. Mine became more aggressive and we had to separate them. He would peck at her to get out of the box and then would not sit on them. So he's been banned. Lol. She has seed and millet. Someone said to wet wheat bread with milk. She likes spinach leaves. I'm going to get some pellets tomorrow. Pet store sells them for mom to feed babies. Hope she handle it by herself. We work full time and our clutch was a surprise.
