VICTORY!!! for Freedom of Speech... 1 down, 1 to go... will Michael Savage be next??

Geert Wilders, the Dutch far-right politician, has won his appeal against the Government's refusal to let him enter Britain.

Wilders challenged the decision by then home secretary Jacqui Smith which led to him being turned back at Heathrow Airport.

The ruling by the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal means the head of the Freedom Party, who is accused of Islamophobia, could now be allowed into the country.

He was due to show his short film Fitna, which criticises the Koran as a ''fascist book'', at the House of Lords in February.

But Ms Smith said his presence had the potential to ''threaten community harmony and therefore public safety''.

A Home Office spokesman said the Government was ''disappointed'' by the ruling.

He said: ''We are disappointed by the court's decision today. The Government opposes extremism is all its forms.

''The decision to refuse Wilders admission was taken on the basis that his presence could have inflamed tensions between our communities and have led to inter-faith violence. We still maintain this view.''

  • GEERT WILDERS FOR PRESIDENT OF EUROPE!!!!!!!!

  • MR GREET WILDERS IS A TRUE HERO FOR THE EUROPEAN PEOPLE!

  • @KumarZimmerman08 Not only Western I heard Islam has a problem in India, Thailand and Australia too.

  • @luisbassooon Unfortunately, you are mistaken. I am not a muslim (luckily).

  • @insignificus go out of europe and back to the hole shit all you come from!

  • @AnimationPlantation And not to mention, I can laugh at the Christian 'god' and his peace-loving, turning-the-other-cheek-type 'prophet', draw some cartoons about that, or blast "Life Of Brian' at full volume, and nobody will bother me. I might get some disapproving looks if a fundamentalist christian happens to show up.

Try doing ANY of the above in any of our inner-city neighbourhoods and see what happens....

Oh wait, we here in the Netherlands (and DK, etc.) already know what happens next :-(

  • @AnimationPlantation One at a time :-) And I fully agree with you regarding (mono)theism. IMO deism is also absurd.

Having said that, we do have a handful of fundamentalist Christian nutters in this country, represented by their own (tiny) political parties. However, they have never bothered me really - they are not present in crime statistics at all, for instance. The shocking overrepresentation of Moroccans in these statistics confirm what every city-dweller here knows already.

  • @insignificus Maybe he should try 2 abolish all religions in Holland might b wiser executing all mono-theological regions, instead of attacking one pull the carpet from under all of them. Judaism was one of the first mono theologic religions then it broke away into Christianity then Islam. They all believe in the same god its just the way each of them are looking down the microscope which makes it different. I've met good people from all these religion & much more bad people from "ALL" religions

  • @AnimationPlantation But this proves the point perfectly (my point, Geert's point, the PVV's point). We have nothing against anyone's heritage.

People cannot help it if they are born in an islamic country. They are not to blame. We welcome apostates and anyone renouncing a violent ideology posing as a religion. The PVV has warmly welcomed ex-muslims in their ranks and will continue to do so.

And I agree 100% with your comment about invisible friends. It's like believing in the easter bunny. :-)

  • @insignificus Indonesia & Malaysia are both predominantly muslim countries. high percentage are Muslim, if you do a family tree check on this guy I'm sure you would find some Islamist in his family :D. Ehh anyways I think all religions are bullshit, ohh look look my invisible friend is better than yours.......pfffft gimme a break its a joke.
