  • 5) If I'm correct, then of course Jesus would have led Philip to aid in this earnest study. As to why Philip was 'taken away' in such a manner after the baptism of the Eunuch ...

That's one of those questions only a face to face meeting on THAT day will answer!

  • 3) The queen may also have been a member and if so, the business of the Ethiopian may have been to the Jerusalem treasury to offer tithes, or perhaps some other political business, since we have to remember that Israel was occupied by the Romans in every facet of their society.

    4) He may have seen or heard of the one just crucified that was the 'King of the Jews' and was studying Isaiah pertaining to the proof of Jesus.

  • 1) In old Hebrew Eunuch meant faithful/trusted, not castrated since genital mutilation is against Hebraic law and one who has been mutilated is not allowed to enter formal study or worship.

    2) Responsible for the Queens treasury means he definitely was faithful/trusted. There has been a 'Jewish' sect in Ethiopia since perhaps the time of the Exodus, maybe even before. He may have been a member of this sect.

Christ and the disciples crossing a lake were "suddenly at the opposite side." Why and when does God act on other dimensional time or travel to move people about instantly rather than let them walk, ride or run to the place? I'd think it would be rather startling to a Biblical character to be moved around this way yet it's not
