http://www.fitforafeast.com/kids_fitness_fit_kids.htm Front walkover gymnastics tutorial - how to do a front walkover. You should master your bridge first, then practise the front walkover using some of these tips.
We had alot of requests to make a video about how to do a front walk over so hope this helps! It is best to practise on mats or a softer surface with nothing in the way you can bump up against. Start with bridges and the half way steps until you get comfortable. As with any gymnastics exercise you want to warm up muscles first with some stretches and go at your own pace so you avoid injury. See some of our stretching videos on more tips for warm up exercises. Front walkovers may be considered ballet moves in dance too or they are called kickovers. Cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts perform front walkovers as part of their routines.

  • @fitforafeast I can do a front walkover into a backbend (kinda sorta)... its just that I dont know how to do it gracefully and i never land flat on my feet when I go into the backbend part. My feet always go under me. What do I need to do?

  • @TatSoCute94 check out our backbend kickover vid - practice recovery & pratice the back bends kicking up one leg etc. best to get the backbend & recovery down before you try the walkovers - you can also ask someone to spot you

  • Whenever i try to get up is that i can't but i can get up from a bridge. Any advice?

  • @smiley101girl work on the back bend kickovers first (we have a vid)

  • How Far Should Your Feet Be Spread Apart?

  • @divabop0 usually about shoulder width - but see what feels more comfortable for you

  • @fitforafeast thankyou soooo much for your tips for the aerial, front walkover, chest stand, and the 2 person cartwheel tips!! love the videos :D keep up the AMAZING work

  • @smiley101girl You need to put all of your weight on your knees, do the rocking thing they told you and use all of your leg strength to get back up. Trust me, it takes a while to master.

  • @39cluesrules get a spotter & make sure you practice over mats
