This is another one of my 3D tutorials. I am trying to cover all the aspects of 3D in Photoshop and this one is about importing and exporting 3D types and what they are and what they can be saved/exported as and the right way to do it.

@gsiokas well not sure i fully understand you.

you must mean "open" not import, yeah? cause you dont import a 3D object you just open one. Check the formats that are allowed to be opened into pS, and what version of PS are you using, cs5? you must be using an extended version, right? if we get stuck here then join my forum and put the question to our community and Ill be there as Photojunkie to help also. then we can see screens hots and the like.

wenever i import it asks me to rasterize the layer... i cant click cancel cuz tht doesnt even open the file
