And much of what you say is completely contradictory, you say for example that "Autism is not some secret/social club" and I would be hard pressed to disagree with you on that one, but you contradict yourself by falsely accusing people of pretending to be Autistic because their form of Autism is not like yours in every single way. It is scientific fact that Autism is a "spectrum disorder" with cases ranging from severe to mild with differences even with people on similar points of the spectrum.

I find it baffling because I have never heard anybody Autistic or not with the exception of crackpots like Michael Savage say even half of what you have said. Exactly what could someone possibly have to gain by pretending they are Autistic? You probably know yourself the kind of social ostracism involved in being even slightly different, so why someone would willingly submit themselves to that dosen't make any sense. Nobody I am aware of has become rich off of that, so money can't be the motive.

As for 'I of all people' well I hate to bust another myth (well no I'm not, actually busting myths is just fine by me) Autism is not some secret/social club, there is no secret handshake, and (in spite of a certain hoaxer out there who'd have you believe otherwise), there isn't even any secret language.
I am an Autistic person/person with Autism.
Maybe you can then elaborate as to just why you find it so baffling that "I of all people" would pose this well-founded speculation.
Thank you.

Just because the doctor was wrong about the severity of my case dosen't mean that he was wrong that there was a case. Yes I know I appear "normal" but if you saw what I was like back then or even what I was like in high school compared to now you would think I was a completely different person. So no I have not considered the idea that I might not be on the spectrum at all, and honestly baffled as to why you of all people would make such unfounded speculations.

Have you ever given serious consideration to the idea that you just might not be 'on the spectrum' at all?
I mean, if you can recognize that 'the doctor didn't know what he was talking about' with you at age 2 with his proclamation predictions and notions, why continue to assume he was right at all?
Just a thought.
Personally I think normal/typical are vastly underrated and ironically because those who identify as such are in the minority, they are thus instantly made unique when they do.
"Just because he was wrong' doesn't mean he was right either. I find it rather telling that you apparently took such offense at the very suggestion that you may NOT be autistic -- which given as you yourself stated you currently have no diagnosis is certainly no more 'unfounded' than your own theorizing that you are.

You said yourself in your open letter to CNN that you were thought to be retarded until the age of 30 when it was finally found to be false but that you were still Autistic, so whoever diagnosed you as retarded was clearly mistaken about that but was right that you are Autistic, but if the same logical falacy you used against me was actually true then the doctor that diagnosed you must have also been mistaken that you had Autism because he was mistaken about you being retarded.

You have said yourself that "even an idiot gets it right sometimes". If an idiot can get it right sometimes, then it is also possible for an idiot to get it at least half right.
