  • seriously u can afford a i7 a SSD and a 2TB HDD but not a better graphix card like a hd 7970 or hd 6870?

  • @BulletProofGeek First off, check the upload date; the 7970 wasn't out yet. Second, I got the 6850 only temporarily. It was on sale for $110 when I got it. I'm going to sell it once Kepler comes out and get something like a GTX 660.

  • @peet88ember If I want to get the most out of it then yes, but it stills works in 2.0 slots.

  • @XxYouGotJakedxX you'll need a new CPU for the kepler.

  • @peet88ember Lol ignore the first part I misread it. But seriously, why the copy and paste?

  • @peet88ember Wow nice copy and paste, that doesn't even make sense as I wasn't telling you what to buy. First, I'm not dropping $750 on graphics card. I actually paid for my build, not saying you didn't, so yes I actually care about value. And If you actually read my reply, you would see that I'm upgrading to Kepler and getting a faster hard drive when prices go back down. The 5900rpm hdd and the 6850 are only temporary. Ok?

  • @XxYouGotJakedxX If you're usign a PC for rendering, quadro(nvidia) is the best option for modeling there are a big range price/performance cards. CPU does all the jod. BUT that is too obsolete now. GPU rendering is the best way to render with Octane or Vray RT. SO nvidia you can get a pricey quadro 4000 at minimum, or a nvidia GT 560 o GT 560. is 10 times faster than your 5900 2600k mix.

So pleasedon't tell me what you buy if you don't know the situation :)

  • @cryptsys The GPU doesn't help AT ALL in 3D rendering. It's only for playback. And for the hard drive, I got it on sale during Black Friday it was only $70. HDD prices are insane due to floods in Thailand. Once they go back down I'll get a faster hard drive and use my current one as a backup. So pleasedon't tell me what to buy if you don't know the situation :)

  • @XxYouGotJakedxX and a 5900rpm HDD is god awful slow for video editing... i have at the very least the wd cab black 64mb cache 1tb's @ 7200rpm...

  • @XxYouGotJakedxX if it was for 3d rendering you wouldve gotten a higher gpu... please dont throw around words if you dont know what you're saying.
