@sh9683 Lol... JFK was also considered a target to the Communist Russians, when the Cold War was at its peak, having intervened during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was also going to crack down on gangs, specifically the Mafia and other major gang and underground leaders in the US, a target to them too. @sh9683 Additionally, when has a president ever kept his promise. There are some who tried but, due to circumstances, had to change the perspectives and goals of the nation. Bush, for example, had to respond to terrorist aggression. Whether it is correct or not is despite the fact and over and done with, the damage is done, there is no turning back. And arguing over it will only solve nothing. Naturally, I am saying we have already lost what power we had when we had elected Nixon and his ilk.

@sh9683 Which is probably why he won't get elected. The electoral college votes for the President, the National Poll is more a popularity contest. Ours doesn't count for crap if there's an electoral college that already decides for the people. Then there's the Lobbyists, and also the Federal Reserve is a well established source of monetary income and developed for the banks (its usage is beyond me). If Ron Paul wins, he will need more than one term to enact all of this.

@kallenc2133 well, don't take it from me (look it up if you ever feel like it) but ron paul is a constitutionalist, meaning he will give you your liberties you have lost, he will bring back the troops, and use them to actually defend your country. he will get rid of the federal reserve and put america on track to paying of the debts,

In my opinion, Obama is no good. Idk who this Ron Paul guy is, but it sounds like he'd be better for the job. Like I said, I don't get into it much.... gives me headaches.
