Taken from his 1974 album "Sun Godess" ft Maurice White of Earth Wind & Fire.

Ramsey Emmanuel Lewis, Jr. (born in Chicago, Illinois May 27, 1935) is an American jazz icon, composer, pianist and radio personality. He has been referred to as "the great performer", a title reflecting his performance style and musical selections which display his early gospel playing and classical training (Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, etc.) along with his love of jazz and other musical forms. Ramsey Lewis has recorded over 80 albums and has received five gold records and three Grammy Awards.

Sun Godess: After his classic acoustic albums in the 1960s, Ramsey Lewis wanted to head into a new direction in his music. He reunited with Maurice White who at that time was with his own band, Earth, Wind & Fire.

  • Music's glory years, man... From the 1950's- 2003. After that, corporate America took that shit over and poisoned it. Mind you, I was born in '78. So I can appreciate music before my time. But not these motherfuckaz claiming they're making music today. yall be safe!

  • @thisislogout for real. thats what i keep trying to tell people.

  • @shoobedoorocketship its not all by white folks. if your black, brown, yellow, or red, your natual history tells you that you adored the sun and the universe. instead some corrupt white folks got us pretending theirs was "it". but some white folks want to change that also....venus project also has people of color.

this song is awesome, to the beauty of women of COLOR :D

  • Best 8 mins I spent on Youtube. I found this song using the Shazam app on a movie (I forgot what name it was) several months ago and I knew it sounded familiar. New school music sucks and as a young guy, I prefer oldies than new school (Kid Cudi being an acception).

  • It's all progression. Ramsey begat EWF. James Brown begat P-Funk. Never thought my music would be Ol-skool. Let the love flow

  • @mykgroov I agree

  • and you stop (remix) rhymester の元ネタ発見!

  • Maurice White + The late, great Charles Stepney + Ramsey Lewis + Don Myrick + EWF= One of the best instrumentals ever produced. This was the time for Fender Rhodes and Arp String Machines.

  • like Don Cornelius use ta say, "...and here's a GROOVE dat make ya wanna MOVE real SMOOTH......"
