Its a hassle getting out to Orchha, with taxi drivers telling us there are no buses line, but it is worth the effort. The village of Orchha is sandwiched between a massive palace and a huge temple from the 17th C., and the countryside is dotted with ruins. It's easy to imagine the palace in all it's splendour, with great festivities happening. The building is so huge it's easy to get lost, and often the stone staircase you've found leads to a railing-free balcony overlooking the river, with only your self to keep you safe which makes you feel like you are the one to discover the ruin first.
