  • mauricehiraheta- it is often the case that complicated songs do fall to obscurity.. this particular song is now 20 years old, and I still know of it being used in various settings.. I think some songs aren't meant to be simple "songs" to the Lord.. they must have the character that can develop from a nuance of rhythm, chord and melody that is not the "simple" thing that a muso might expect. In my book, this song is one of those that will suffer if you simplify too much.. but please post , yes.

  • I play piano...any idea what the chords would be for this song..i absoultly LOVE this song!

  • The chords for the song go like this in the verse :

    G G/F CM7/E D7sus D7

Then in the chorus like this:

    Am7 CM7 CM7/D G

Of course, using the capo 5 position that I use in the video, they are...

    verse :

    D D/C GM7/B A7sus A7

    Chorus:

    Em7 GM7 GM7/A D

If you are wondering how the bass/low note in that chord is possible on that chord config, you guessed it- ya, the song does a drop D tuning on the low E string.

  • Thanksd for this..i always assumed it was isreal houghton's song so thanks for clarifying that!! great teaching style..5 stars!

  • Just a note. I didn't quote give all the information on this.. here is the rest-- the song is actually written by Tom Davis and Kevin Prosch. It's published 1991 Mercy

Vineyard Publishing (CCLI song # 825198)

  • I always loved this song but I think it needs to be simplified, as complicated worship songs will surely fall to the wayside. no matter how beautiful they are. I will simplify it and post it. Unless you are willing to do it. Thanks and God bless

  • This is such a beautiful song. I am learning guitar now but have not got a capo yet. I have saved this to my playlist on here. Thank you for sharing :)

  • I no longer have the CD for this song and wondered if you could post the original up here. Please...
