So, you think buying a house is hard? Well... it's a lot harder when you believe in tons of superstitions like my family does. We're searching for the RIGHT house for my cousin and her family... but it's soo hard. We have to get everything right. From the number of the home...to the plants that surround it...to the way the kitcehn is laid out and how the stairs are facing the front door.... There's plenty more superstitions that we didn't put in here. You know of any?

  • glad talking to you. thanks for your feedback. i was looking for superstition to prepare for my study, i found your video. my feeling after watching it is surprise and curiosity. it's difficult to describe.Maybe i have never known any Vietnamese family like yours and you yourself in a foreign country.

  • No problem. If you need anything, feel free to message me.

  • I'm Vietnamese but my family doesn't practise such practices maybe we are young family and we just don't believe. Yes I know the Vietnames are really superstitious. For example people choose direction to build house, good date for starting construction and so on. vow ! superstition is intricate and complicated, isn't it?

  • My family goes a little overboard with superstitions... It is complicated sometimes, and of course not everyone observes them...but it makes life interesting.

  • superstitions can turn a palace into a detention center !!!!! I have a vietnamese wife myself and it drive me crazy when we go visit them in vietnam. they have some kind of deity in the kitchen they call TANTAI, another deity in the garden for the rain and sky. in TV room so many statues and pictures of fat, skinny, laughing buddha and another statue of an old man with white beard . I strictly forbid my wife to take my son or let her family introduce him to any buddhist rituals
