originally, it fell to the Ceremonial Guard. Which was comprised of the Governor General's foot Guards out of Ottawa and the Canadian Grenadier Guards out of Montreal. This year the Ceremonial Guard was opend up to members of the Navy and Air Force as a trial with promising results. Now you can expect to see the navy and air force on sentry more often.

Thanks for the update! Wouldn't it only be natrual for the Navy and Airforce to be part of the Honour Guard? I was not aware this was the first time.

that person is working with veterans. after they came forward and admited the mistakes they made. and for having the navy and air force involved for the first time ever with the ceremonial guard. That was well done gents, look forward to seeing some of you next year.

Well I don't think it's a great idea to shoot the next person who does or the last one either. However I believe the best punishment would be to get the person/s to work in a Verterans wing at a hospital for a month or two and let the Veterans know who that person/s is while they are changing bed pans etc.

the drunken scum who felt he had to go to the bathroom on the monument thats why there's gaurds there now.
The Navy members were not admitted into the GGFG they are Navy members tasked to the Ceremonial Guard for this duty.

@baile2504 Ya, I'd agree to that. When Navy or Air Force Members were dressed in GGFG uniforms (summer 08) a bag was added for each, separating the elements. The navy members were not apart of GGFG, but were as you said attached to CG.
