  • When I first saw this, I just thought it was pretty good. But the more I thought about it - the more I realized its profundity. After seeing it again, my appreciation grew even more. The Hughes Brothers do a great job of gradually unveiling information in a captivating & suspenseful way.

  • ALSO Mr. Roeper im very happy that you were as bold as this story and gave it an "A" because it deserves more respect and attention that it got.

Some people thought it was "too Christian" or "too Biblical" which was pretty much the whole point. Mainstream Hollywood doing something daring...whether right or wrong, they took the risk and flowed with it.

Im glad a reviewer like yourself can appreciate it for the same reasons.

  • This movie was a lot better than I thought..............I went into it with reservations, 'cuz while Denzel's an awesome actor, he's known to do total stinkers sometimes. Dunno why it wasn't a bigger hit--maybe the veiled Christianity theme turned a lot of people away. I'd highly recommend this one!

  • @oophelia46 you see... people lock away the truth these days... your one of those people, violence and filth unfortunatly is what humanity is. i think its good there not avioding it anymore. this is what life WOULD be like, no dout about that.

  • I almost didn't make it to the end of the movie. Can't believe I had to sit through that much violence and filth to make it to the end, but the end was very good. So sad Hollywood has to put so much garbage in a movie these days, even if it has a redemptive message!

  • @degree7 Thanks :P

  • @Poonybug

Rent it, don't buy it. It's worth watching if you're into lot's of pointless and gratuitous gore and scantily clad females throwing grenades under cars, but in my opinion the whole thing was a waste of time.

  • @degree7 So what is it? I don't want to buy a retarded film.

  • @Poonybug

    surely do

  • @degree7 I'm guessing you have a reason... Right?

  • @Juanster23 I believe that love can conquer hatred but the sad fact is that violence will always exist in this world. The gift of freewill has also become mankind's curse.
