I am not a fan of Eddie Jordan's presenting on the BBC coverage. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy having Jake - the fan, DC - the driver and EJ - the team boss. It gives a nice overview to each race. But I find Eddie unnerving. He puts me on edge with his interviews and comments. and shirts. But damn, EJ. You have one hell of an voice-over voice. This is a beautiful, wonderful tribute. Thanks BBC for all your work this year.

So a salute to those who race, to those who win and loose, succeed and fail in the blink of an eye. And a salute to the champion, to the man who now enjoys the favours and despoils but know that in the quickest of sports, success can be fleeting and savour the glory while it lasts.

@Ja30SM Those left in the chasing pack turn to bickering, clawing and scratching as they search for that elusive glory again. At times there is also a glimpse through the window to the world outside, where good times and bad have far more meaning the mere sport can offer. Some have to leave the stage while others linger, held fast, thinking that triumph is still close at hand. It is a fine line between, he, who leads and those left behind in the spray.
