Ballet Folklorico Boriken at the Texas Folklife Festival on June 14 2009

This Puerto Rican folk dance group was founded in 1992 by Olga Custodio, and become the Ballet Folklórico Borikén in 1995. The group presents the culture of the island of Puerto Rico through folk dances and music. It strives to maintain roots outside the island and to send a message of pride and respect for the heritage and culture of Puerto Rican to those now established in Texas.

I happen to love ballet folklorico! I just went to the city of Burleson, Texas' annual festival, "Cinco De Mayo", and it was wonderful! I loved all the dancers, but I loved the ballet folklorico the best! Great video!
