I have a live version of this that Bill performed with The Skids, in 1979, in Edinburgh, just after he'd produced their 'Days in Europa' LP. I think it was supposed to originally be the b-side to their single, ' Working for the yankee dollar', but never made it on to vinyl, Shame, cos it's a good version.
I saw Be Bop Deluxe and then Bill Nelson many times. The most under rated band ever. Bill Nelson is a legend. Also check out John Cooper Clarke. The first time i listened to them was outside the fairway pub in 1973 I was only 12.
