1984 - Chairs Paul Boneberg and Mary Dunlap introduce AIDS activist Bobbi Campbell at the National March for Lesbian and Gay Rights which preceeded the 1984 Democratic National Convention. Moscone Center, San Francisco.

  • Bobbi Campbell was a hero, fighting against all odds, to put a face on HIV/AIDS and the push for help. May he, and so many of the wonderful men, women and children who died or are dying of AIDS, be honored by actions like his. I share his last name and couldn't be more proud.

  • Thank you for posting! That was such an important political year. That year, Geraldine Ferraro was also the first female and Italian to be nominated on a national ticket. Barriers were being broken. : )
