'Phrenitis' takes the listener to a twisted place where the walls between worlds are razed. The ruinous cities of wars long past, where time itself is but a prisoner and the warlords roaming their purgatorial halls are free to destroy the very foundations of the natural order. (Cold Meat Industry)

Ambient music is a musical genre in which sound is more important than notes. It is generally identifiable as being broadly atmospheric and environmental in nature. It's primary feature is that the music is intended to drift in and out of the listener's awareness while creating its effect on the listener's consciousness.
Dark ambient is a general term for any kind of ambient music with a "dark" or dissonant feel, but often involves extensive use of digital reverb to create vast sonic spaces for frightening, bottom-heavy sounds such as deep drones, gloomy male chorus, echoing thunder, and distant artillery. It has an eerie feel. Generally the music tends to evoke a feeling of solitude, melancholy, confinement, and isolation. However, while the theme in the music tends to be "dark" in nature, some artists create more organic soundscapes. (Wikipedia)

  • I kept on going through your channel, aaaand you did it again... this video is amazing... big props from finland! :)

  • @jopsutin Thank you! Atrium Carceri's 7th album is ready and will be released this fall, I guess. I think I'll make a new video soon :)

  • You need to be congratulated as the mixture of sound and video was flawless. I've never been so captivated by war footage in my life. Thank you.

This album is very different to what I was expecting. I'm looking forward to hearing more.

  • Thank you very much, it's good to hear that you liked it.

  • The end is exactly what I though the vid was missing. The a-bomb!

Very good job on putting the videos together. I wonder how did you manage to find the videos of the a-bomb test with the soldiers.

did you know what were the instructions of the soldiers in the trenches?

"When you see the spark.. duck and cover!" :D

  • Thanks!

Duck and cover, yeah, it's quite funny. I even saw an educational film for children with a cartoon turtle pulling in its head into its shell :)

Those films are free to download from internet archive (just google it). Keywords were post-war, nevada and the quite impressive destructive a-bomb.

  • @GasMaskSS lol, it is peaceful.

i've heard a lot about horrors of war from my uncle's and grand-father

German soldiers rounded up women and children in a pit and threw the corpses of the men from above. They completely burned to the ground many-many villages.

    I could go on forever.
