This car was contaminated with fence paint. It's a common problem we see at this time of year with many cars getting covered with fence paint, house paint and various other DIY accidents. This Ford Focus was badly splattered with paint which we needed to remove with a combination of clay bar and solvents.

  • NIce job. What did you charge for that then? £100?

  • We charge £40+vat for the first hour, and then call the customer with an estimate of how long we think it will take to remove the rest. We then charge £40+vat for every hour thereafter.

This kind of job can take between 1 and 5 hours... you can never tell until you start work.

And then of course we had to buff the car. So I guess this one was probably around £200.

  • very nice ,is that polished ???

  • I can't remember what process we would have used, but we usually machine polish a car after this kind of work, and apply a good quality wax.
