In front of a sold-out Nassau Coliseum (Uniondale, New York) manic crowd of 16,000, Leslie West, Sam Kinison and the Howard Stern gang perform an absolutely WILD cover of Wild Thing. The Nassau Coliseum was literally SHAKING for this one!

The event sold out in 4 hours, with each ticket costing $22.50. October 7, 1989.

20 years ago, and I remember watching this VHS for the 1st time like it was yesterday. Howard Stern and Leslie West were SO ahead of their time.

If I ever have to go to war, and the weapons of destruction are music instruments.... I want Leslie West and his guitar on MY SIDE!!

This needed to get out there. Nobody was badder assed then Leslie and Howard in the 80s. They revolutionized morning radio AND rock radio and shock radio.

Leslie's great guitar work did a lot for Howard Stern's bad assed persona and successes.

This was a very fun period.

People Sam Was a Real Musician Singer Songwriter ! Not just a crazy comedian ! He wanted to record an album and go on tour ! but never got the chance due to his accident that took his life, and that's a shame ! our favorite song was Goin Down written by Don Nix and recorded by Freddie King & Jeff Beck ! I still sing the song to this day. I wish Sam was still alive it's a shame. Vic Hursh , Drum's & Vocal's.

Howard always looks so awkward and out of place, while Robin looks like she was born a rocker, lol.

And if you could ever say this about any musician, Leslie West is definetly one of the most under-rated & under-appreciated guitar players (and writers) ever to somehow fall under the mainstream radar!

@Pam4Rob, No problem!!! LOL. I just felt it my patriotic duty to call out Ms. Hahn's assets to the rest of the world!!! LOL. I miss Sam Kinison a ton. He truly was a comic genius. Just raw, vulgar, and hilariously funny. Don't know what Jessica Hahn is looking like these days? But during the time Sam Kinison shot this video, she was smokin' back then!!
